Cinema more than photography is considered the Art of the XX century: it influences lifestyles and behaviours with the power of its images and plots.
The history of Italian cinema is rich in masterpieces created by such directors as De Sica, Rossellini, Visconti, Fellini, Bertolucci and thanks to great actors like Anna Magnani, Alberto Sordi, Sofia Loren, Marcello Mastroianni; unforgottable is the post-war production of movies that goes by the name of "Neorealismo".
The Accademia di Italiano has developed Italian for Cinema courses designed for people who attend or have enrolled in Cinema courses or for those a have personal or professional interest in Italian cinema. The aim of these courses is to help them gain the the necessary vocabulary and terminology used in the industry, along with insight into Italian cinema and its history.
In addition to eventual topics of specific interest for each student, the course deals with the History of Cinema, the Silent Flms Age, the Sound Fim Revolution, Black and White to colour films, famous Italian movies, directors and actors, all with the aid of film projections in the movie room of the school.
The course concentrates on the study of the Italian language: the programme is the same as the Standard Italian Course of 20 lessons per week combined with 5 individual (5 every week) or 10 individual (10 every week) lessons. At the same time, it focuses on tailor-made lessons created to meet the language needs of students and professionals.
Italian course for cinema+5
- 25 lessons/week: Standard Course+ 5 individual focus lessons per week
- Course length: minimum 2 weeks
- Monday to Friday between 8.45 and 17.30 (depending on level)
- Levels: from Intermediate to Proficiency
- Group size: min 4 max 12 students
- Starting dates: beginners every two weeks - non-beginners any Monday

Italian course for cinema +10
- 30 lessons/week: Standard Course+ 10 individual focus lessons per week
- Course length: minimum 2 weeks
- Monday to Friday between 8.45 and 17.30 (depending on level)
- Levels: from Intermediate to Proficiency
- Group size: min 4 max 12 students
- Starting dates: beginners every two weeks - non-beginners any Monday
