Jewellery is an art that finds in Italy some of its highest expressions. Arezzo, Valenza Po, Vicenza are all well known names of districts where leading schools and manufacturers train and employ the best Jewel designers of our times.
Milan, world capital of Design, holds some of the most famous and most attended International Jewel design courses.
The Accademia di Italiano has developed Italian for Jewellery Design courses designed for people who attend or have enrolled in Jewellery Design courses, work in jewellery laboratories or who have a personal or professional interest in jewellery. The aim of these courses is to help them gain the necessary vocabulary and terminology used in the industry, along with insight into the history and the field of Jewellery Design in general.
In addition to eventual topics of specific interest for each student, the course themes deal with the history of jewels, precious metals and new materials, gems and pearls, styles, industrial and handcrafted manufacturing techniques.
The course concentrates on the study of the Italian language: the programme is the same as the Standard Italian Course (20 lessons per week) combined with 10 individual lessons per week. At the same time, it focuses on tailor-made lessons created to meet the language needs of students and professionals of the Jewellery industry.
