AI students come to Milan from all over the world for many different reasons: to attend a University or a professional school (in fashion, design, or opera singing, for instance), to do academic research or to improve their career prospects.

They may come quite simply for the pleasure of learning or because they are attracted by the vitality of our city and the career opportunities it offers. The multicultural atmosphere present at AI is as varied as the students themselves and creates an excellent opportunity to make new friends of all ages, with different interests and with different backgrounds.

The Modern Languages department at AI runs an extensive programme of courses in English, French, German, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian and Japanese, contributing to the international mix and the variety of the languages spoken. Regular conversation exchange help our students gain practice in the language they are learning and make friends during their time with us.
