Transports in Milan

Milan has a fairly good, comparatively inexpensive public transport system, both surface and underground.
Buses, trams and the three underground lines (red, green and yellow) connect all the possible destinations to one another in quite a fast way, considering the traffic and the thousand years old  road network of the city centre.
